Lets try this again!

About this exact time last year I started this blog with the hope of starting and maintaining it throughout the year as a possible alternative to updating people on our lives besides Facebook. Well......that flopped as you can tell. So here I am again to try this over.

Huck is now 1 year old.....well almost 14 months now. He is so active and doing so much stuff. He is officially into everything. He has learned how to pull the chairs out and climb into them. So nothing is safe being placed up high anymore.

We had an aweome 1st Birthday. We spent the day playing together as a family and also with some extended family. We had a great party at my Grandmother's house in Carlisle. Lots of family and friends showed up to make it perfect.

Thanksgiving was great. We were actually invited this year to visit my dad's side of the family in Little Rock. It seems I'm making a big deal out of going to LR but it is. We don't do a lot with his side of the family. A lot of different reasons I won't get into on here. We had a great time with them and Huck enjoyed playing and seeing all his cousins, aunts, and uncles. After that visit we stopped by Carlisle with that side of the family. Alwways fun watching Huck with his cousin Lydia. She is only a few months older than him.

Christmas!!!! We totally had a Christmas to remember this year. We spent Christmas night in the ER at Children's. Huck was battling a cold/pneumonia/bronchiolitis. He was coughing, snotting, and wheezing all day. We got treated and sent home only to return again the next morning. This time we were admitted and stayed the night. Huck got tons and tons better but now Mom and Dad are fighting off snotty noses, sinus congestion, and a nasty cough. FUN TIMES!!!

We rang in the New Year this year by watching The Help. Definitely an enjoyable time!!!

  1. I'm so glad Huck is feeling better! That is a crazy Christmas for sure. We just watched "The Help" last night. I thought it was an awesome movie.
Hey, don't get discouraged with the blogging thing. I've been doing it since 2008 and I've found that even though a lot of people might not comment, it doesn't mean they aren't checking it. I might get a couple comments per post, but average about 65 views on my blog per day. So I think a lot of people just don't like to comment. Keep it up, we look forward to seeing more.
